High Bank Bay - (Abaco South)
400 Acres
High Bank Bay is one of the most spectacular sites in our portfolio of beachfront properties in the south of Abaco. International property developers will recognize the potential for a mixed-use world-class resort destination and most importantly, the extensive beach frontage on this rectangular landmass.
A visit to the property will not be disappointing. The road access runs through the Abaco National Park. A drive through this park is riveting as one may see one of the 76 species of birds and in particular, the well-known Abaco Parrot.
Views from the high bluffs are stunning. The Hole-in-the-Wall lighthouse can be seen in the distance in a southerly direction and the vistas from the bluffs of Conch Sound Point are picturesque.
The Abaco mainland, with its many smaller islands and cays, stretch for 130 miles in length making it the second largest of the Bahamian islands. The south of Abaco has a breathtaking coastline that includes spectacular wide pristine ocean beaches that run on a contiguous basis for miles.
Sandy Point, a small community 15 miles south, has a 3,000-foot airport runway and a car ferry service that transports 50 vehicles and 200 passengers several times per week to Nassau. Disney’s Castaway Island can be seen from the town shoreline.
The Abacos are an incredibly attractive destination, hence; the reason why Marsh Harbour International Airport is the second busiest airport in the country, receiving almost 100,000 annual visitors per year.
The Prime Minister has announced that a new extended airport runway and airport terminal is currently being planned for Abaco.
High Bank Bay beach extends for several miles. The 85-foot plus high land elevation runs parallel to the coastline.
The beach frontage runs 5,800 feet in length. The property has an average depth of 2,500 feet.
The National Park is contiguous to the property on the western boundary. 10 miles to the north is the Abaco Highway junction and 4 miles west is the town of Sandy Point.
The property has been designated as open zoning.
PROPERTY IS OFF THE MARKET.
